A: No, you'd have to set both bars up so close together it would render the system useless. I had to outfit a focus 2 door back in the early 2000's and it took a short roof adaptor which is an additional bar that attaches to the front bar and runs towards the back of the car to attach the rear bar at a useable distance. GTI is a great car but in this instance it's going to be a little more costly with a couple more moving parts to setup a rack system.

A: This cross bar kit is compatible with a 2004 Ford Focus Wagon as long as you have a bare roof. We don't recommend attaching any boat directly to the bars so you would want to consider the Malone Bunk kit to make loading and securing the boat easier and safer as well.
