Job Description:

To manage and write copy for websites, blogs, emails, landing pages, e-guides and more for the growing family of ecommerce websites, including Skis.com, Snowboards.com, and InlineSkates.com.


Duties and responsibilities:


The primary duties & responsibilities of this position are as follows:


  • Creating engaging and compelling content and editing content for the Summit Sports companies, blogs, websites, social media channels, emails, events and more.
  • Actively participating and generating ideas for our marketing calendar, websites and blog initiatives.
  • Organizing, posting and managing content in Wordpress and Demandware.
  • Maintaining competitive watch on top competitor’s blogs, emails, website copy and digital ad campaigns.
  • Working with a team of copywriters and Director of Creative Services to devise and review content strategies, develop concepts, and provide copy on assigned projects.
  • Keeping copy consistent and identifiable across verticals and taking initiative in fixing and communicating inconsistencies and mistakes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Since our websites are on the Demandware platform, you will be expected to know and/or learn its reference application SiteGenesis, and earn the Demandware Developer Certification. You will use this knowledge to plan, write, and test code that implements the layout and user experience specified in wireframes and PSDs delivered by our Creative Designers.
  • You will work with HTML5, CSS and Javascript as well as the proprietary Demandware toolset (DemandwareScript, pipelines, ISML templates) to customize Demandware’s SiteGenesis to create unique and innovative web experiences for our clients’ customers.
  • Develop sketches or screen layouts to communicate all visual components of the site, including layout and interface design.
  • Assist the Development Team with integration of business objectives and usability requirements with interactive and visual design and complete the design of the site according to project objective.
  • Maintain and support existing sites including functional enhancements, content updates, and issue resolution.
  • Extensive experience converting PSDs into standards-compliant front end code.
  • In-depth and hands-on experience with web technologies such as XHTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript/JQuery, AJAX, XML, JSON, REST based APIs and other relevant technologies.
  • Perform QA and regression testing of web components including but not limited to browser compatibility.

Required Skills:


  • Completed a degree in computer science, web design or equivalent field.

A typical day entails answering inbound calls, e-mails and live chat inquires from customers regarding; new orders, order status, returns, inventory availability and product details. All of our orders are reviewed daily or multiple times, depending on the sensitivity of their status. Outbound calls and e-mails are a part of this review process so we may keep our customers as up-to-date as possible. Internal communication is also a significant activity in our department. A day doesn't pass where we don't talk to our store locations, warehouses, buyers, website development, and web content teams. This level of communication helps us to constantly improve our way of life and the overall flow of our productivity. Customer Care is on the front lines for our company and the customer experience is our highest priority.

Job Description

The Shipping Associate will perform a variety of routine shipping tasks at our location in Sylvan Lake, MI. They will pick and pack orders for internet customers as defined by the pick ticket and will ship in accordance with the specified shipping requirements. They will verify that the material is correct as defined by its label (i.e. part number, color, size, etc.). This position reports directly to the Shipping Director or in his/her absence, to the Assistant Shipping Manager(s).
